Law enforcement personnel receive training certified by the state Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training and/or the state Commission on Standards and Training for Corrections. In close collaboration with local law enforcement agencies, the Public Safety Training Center works to meet ongoing and emerging needs for professional education. Entry-level training is provided for Peace Officers, Dispatchers, Juvenile Counselors, Corrections Officers, and Humane Officers. Advanced training for supervisors and trainers is also offered.
