WHY
To learn more about the field of law enforcement including job dimensions and Basic Academy training requirements.
HOW
Students may register in advance in person at the Santa Rosa, Petaluma or Windsor campuses. Check SRJC Registration for days and times. Students can also register from 8:30 AM to 9 AM at Career Day.

ACTIVITIES
Academy Orientation covering job dimensions and entrance requirements.
Law Enforcement Orientation including general information from law enforcement representatives and communications dispatchers.
POST testing for reading and writing skills for both agency requirements and Academy entrance will be performed during the day.
Representatives from North Bay Area Law Enforcement Agencies will be available to answer questions and engage in recruiting during the day’s activities.
Demonstrations of law enforcement equipment will be conducted by agency representatives. Academy staff will also make training simulators available to participants.
Bring a bag lunch and beverage.
Bring a ball-point pen and a pencil.
Wear loose clothing, preferably sweat pants and shirt or a jogging suit. Running shoes of sufficient quality are recommended for the physical training portion of the day's activities.
Bring $3.00 (exact change) for parking in campus lots. Parking regulations are enforced on Saturdays.
